If you would like to register for Thrive, Print it out and send it to Hope, or bring it this Sunday and drop it in the offering. Registration is not necessary, but it helps us prepare materials and provide for the children! You can also just show up any week. The first Thursday for the semester will be September 18th. We can't wait to see you!

Final Summer Soiree

Wednesday, August 27th at 7:30 PM at the home of Alice Ann Howard. No need to bring anything but a friend or two!
Here's the directions, they are not on Mapquest because the neighborhood is so new!

Pouncey Tract off of Broad St. (this is the big intersection where the movie theater and Wal Mart are).
Head north on Pouncey Tract (past the movie theater and American Family.)
about 1 1/2 miles
Turn right on Grey Oaks Park Dr., the subdivision name is Grey Oaks. (You will see a pool on the right before the road).
Head straight and take a right onto Westcott Ridge Dr.
Continue straight until you have to go right or left.
Take a right on Westcott Landing Ct.
Turn right at the next street which is Westcott Landing Place.

Fall is Coming....

When it's 102 heat index and sweltering humidity, it's hard to believe that Fall is just around the corner. But all around Hope, women have been gearing up for ministry and getting excited for the "new" year. Thrive begins Sept. 18th with the theme "Encounters with Jesus". Precept will be studying 2 Samuel. And the theme for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is "Adventures in Mothering." Even the Winter Retreat Team for January 2009 has been cooking up grand plans for a winter weekend! There are many places to plug in around Hope starting in September that can help you grow in your relationship with God and with other women. Morning Bible Study begins June 17

It only took two days into our summer vacation for my oldest son to roll his eyes at me and exclaim, "I'm bored!" Thankfully, Jaclyn Rackley will be hosting a bible study this summer that we can ALL attend!

Here's the info:

Come, join us for a time of fellowship, discussion, and study as we work through the book, No Other Gods by Kelly Minter. This study will include a workbook, discussion questions, and a new recipe to enjoy each time we meet. We will meet every other week starting June 17 and ending August 12 from 9:30am-11:30am. Childcare will be provided.

Women are complicated. Our lives are full and our schedules are often dependent on many other relationships...family, work, friends, children, obligations. It is easy to be frustrated when our schedules don't connect. The single working woman's free time is often in direct opposition to the mom of young children. But for the most part, we do all have one common connection point: our computers. Be it 9AM or 9PM, this blog is a spot that provides some connection to one another, wherever our lives may take us in the in-between!
